Our area has so many wonderful people who have asked how they can help with back to school. We put together a list of local School Supply Drives for anyone who would like to make a donation. In addition to this list, there are many teachers posting their wish lists on Facebook, so be sure to check with your teacher friends too! Additionally, we have many families who could use a hand. For those families, we have compiled a list of places you can go for clothing, food, and supplies to help you get your family ready for school!

July 16 - July 30: FAAR School Supply Drive
FAAR, 2050 Gordon W. Shelton Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Help local students gear up for a brighter future. Drop-off supplies or ship directly from their Amazon wishlist. Details.
Saturday, July 27, 2024: Stuff The Bus
10am to 4pm at Funland, 1351 Central Park Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Saturday, July 27, 2024: Backpack Drive
11am to 2pm at Enlighten Church, 1169 Courthouse Rd, Su 103, Stafford, VA
3rd annual backpack drive to provide backpacks and school supplies to school-aged children in Stafford County. Details.
August 1-6: School supply Donation Drop Off
Community Bank of the Chesapeake, 5831 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg
Drop off school supplies during business hours. Details.
August 3: Donate and Dunk
9am to 11am at Target, 1090 Stafford Marketplace, Stafford, VA
Local principals will be in dunking booths. Come with your donation and enjoy giving them a dunk!
You can also donate all year long using their Amazon Wishlist.
August 6, 2024: School supply Donation Drop off
8:30am to 3:30pm at Mount Hope Baptist Church, 6823 Harrison Rd
Drop off school supplies. Details.
August 6, 2024: Stuff the Bus
9am to 5pm at Staples, 2003 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Purchase and leave your donation at Staples. Details.

July 26 and 27, 2024: Free School Dressing Days
You must pre-register online June 16-July 13th or in person on July 13th to participate. Find the details here.
August 3 Free Back To School Haircuts & a free meal
At Sheehy Subaru from 8am to 4pm. First come, first served. While supplies last.
August 3 Free Back to School Bash
From 9am to 3pm at the VA Credit Union Stadium.
Saturday, August 24, 2024 - Back 2 School Drive
1pm to 5pm at the Howell Library, 806 Lyons Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22406 in Room 3.

- Be sure to speak with your child's school to let them know if you still need help with supplies. Many schools have a closet with supplies they can discreetly provide to your child.
