The FORE the Animals Golf Tournament
Animal lovers and golfers alike are invited to hit the greens this spring to help local shelter pets.

Rescue Run/Walk 5K
Join the Fred SPCA on June 14th for our annual SPCA 5k Rescue Run/Walk on June 14, 2026!
This important event helps us hit our stride in the fight to end animal suffering, so whether you're in for a competitive run or simply a community walk to benefit the animals, come join us.
This race will begin at 7:00 AM at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s Downtown Fredericksburg Branch. Start AND Finish will be on Sophia! Every runner will receive a finisher's medal. Awards for the Top 3 Male and Female finishers.

Why the Fred SPCA Needs Community Support
The Fredericksburg SPCA plays a vital role in our region, helping animals and families every day.
Their mission is to end animal suffering through compassionate care, adoption, education, and community resources.
The organization:

Humane Education
Did you know that the Fredericksburg SPCA offers classes and camps for kids ages 6-15?
Animal Allies (Ages 6-9)
Kids enrolled in the Animal Allies Academy will meet on various weekend days once a month from 10:00am-2:00pm. This program will be held at the Fredericksburg SPCA, where your child will get one-on-one interaction with animals! Participants will discover the importance of animal care, shelter etiquette, and responsible pet ownership through hands-on experiences and interactive activities.
Pawsitive Pathways: Animal Welfare Leaders (Ages 13-15)
Step into the world of animal sheltering with Pawsitive Pathways, a monthly leadership and volunteer program designed for teens ages 13–15. Each 4-hour session (8:30am-12:30pm) combines hands-on service, humane education, and youth mentorship—empowering teens to make a difference.
Kindness Counts (Ages 6-9 or 10-12)
The Fredericksburg SPCA Offers a hands-on opportunity for children to learn about animals and become advocates for their well-being in the community. Campers will discover more about dogs and cats, explore animal-related career fields, learn how to provide daily care for pets, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the work we do at the Fredericksburg SPCA. With engaging discussions and interactive activities covering a wide range of animal welfare topics, this camp is the perfect summer experience for any young animal enthusiast.
