Hello families,

I'm not sure about you, but I have given up on having a snow day in January... so here is a snow recipe to make your own snow!  We have also included recipes for 3 dips. You'll want to practice making them and taste them before the Super Bowl!

Also, be sure to check out this 2023 Reading Challenge with Free Bookmarks!  If your kids aren't sure what they want or like to read, head over to the library. They have a lot more than just books too!

As some of you may know, I'm teaching 5th grade at my children's elementary school this year. I hadn't planned to teach full time but here I am.  It's amazing to see the teacher side and the student side both.  Let me just say that it's a huge help when parents offer to send in snacks and supplies, and it's also a huge help when parents work with their kids at home to supplement parts of learning that their child may need extra help with.  I had NO idea just how important multiplication facts were until I saw kids who didn't know them trying to learn new math processes. If you're ever thinking of donating but you're not sure who to support, local elementary schools are in need of snacks and lots of newer teachers are in need of classroom supplies. Perhaps reach out to your local elementary school and ask how you can help!

I want to send out a special Thank You to all of you for sticking with me during the bumps as I navigate 2 full-time jobs. (Report card time is a very busy time - I'm pretty sure I forgot to send a newsletter that week! sorry - you can always access the event calendar on our website 24/7!)

Have a fabulous week!
