August 14 & 15 in Spotsylvania, VA

By Janice, SAF July 29, 2021

Join us at the SPOTSY ART FESTIVAL on August 14th & 15th!

The Spotsylvania County’s Courthouse lawn is the perfect venue for an Art Festival. Shaded by large shade trees adds an element of elegance and produces gentle breezes to cool the August days. August 14th & 15th this area will be transformed into a massive outdoor art gallery. With a wide variety of original creations from pottery to paintings; jewelry to photography; woodworking to sculpture and artisans will be demonstrating their skills.

This event is free and there is ample paved parking adjacent to the lawn which means you will have only a short walk to and from your car. So, bring the whole family and tell your friends to meet you at the Spotsy Arts Festival on August 14 and 15, 2021.

An exciting new addition to the Festival this year is the participation of Macaroni Kid Fredericksburg! Their booth will contain Free Craft Kits for kids, games, and an art contest!

There will be good food and beverages for sale, plus and a tent where you can sit to enjoy your lunch. This Festival will have something for everyone. Be sure to stop by the Welcome Tent to pick up a map and schedule so you won’t miss your favorite artist or any of the demonstrations.

Spotsylvania County’s Department of Economic Development and Tourism was announced as the winner of the VIRGO AWARD for their entry into the Niche Tourism category for the Spotsy Arts Festival for 2018 and 2019. For 10 years Virginia Association of Destination Marketing Organizations (VADMO) has been honoring Virginia's tourism industry's best and brightest stars. The staff and volunteers were very excited to have the Spotsy Arts Festival selected as the winner of this prestigious award, especially as it was won for the first two years of the Festival. It is hoped that the Festival will again be recognized for its excellence in 2021.

This event is planned, organized, and managed by, JART
