Thank you to all of the friends and family members who nominated local moms! We randomly selected 2 winners - a "seasoned mom" and a newly expecting mom. You can find the winners at the bottom!

"Venise is a great mom because of the well-rounded experience she provides for our son. She always researches the various local events she can take him to such as museum open houses, music on the lawn, nature events, sporting events and so much more than our fine city offers. She helps with all the school homework and special projects, always going above and beyond with the details. In addition to this, she commutes to Alexandria daily and still finds the time to do so much so that he can become cultured in so many ways. "

"My mom has always been there for me she has done so much for me we have been close since I was a little girl she always has my back. She has helped me with my two kids we laugh and cry together. My mom loves to go shopping, she loves to go to Charles Town, she loves animals, she always makes people laugh just overall she is a great mom I couldn't ask for anything different."
"Meghan is a fantastic mom to 2 daughters age 9 and 6. She was diagnosed with Breast cancer in 2019 and spent 2020 going through chemo, double mastectomy surgery, radiation, COVID, and her husband left her. 2020 ended with her divorced. She continued to work, get a promotion and raise her two young daughters despite all of this. She is only 37 years old. She is a great daughter and a wonderful mom to her girls. Her motto has been #KMF. Keep moving forward!"

"My sister is a single parent to her 6 yr old Jayden. With her and Jayden both having asthma, she puts herself at risk of Covid by going to work every day so that she can provide for him. She has the sweetest personality and will help anyone that she can. Jayden loves her to the Moon & Back and he reminds her of that every day! She’s such a GREAT Mom!!! "

"My wife Kerry, is a selfless and very dedicated mother to our two sons. Both of our sons were born with challenges, such as our oldest was born prematurely and our youngest was born with congenital heart disease. Both challenging to a new mom. And my wife took on the care of our sons like a champ. She placed her career as a teacher on hold when our second son was born and made raising and providing love to our sons as a priority. She also juggled multiple part-time jobs and volunteer commitments to supplement income for our family and to model work ethic for our sons. I admire her ability to handle so many responsibilities and still have the energy to play with our sons."

"This mom not only is a mom to her own child but is a mom to all the kids in her community. She works with the kids in school when they had the Good New Clubs weekly and she made sure they always had snacks and a meal. She take cares of the homeless kids finding them what they need to have a meal in their tummies to making sure they have clothes sheets and coats. Tammy is one who reaches out to all children no matter rich or poor does not matter the color of the skin to her they all come running for hugs from Ms Tammy. She Loves them from beginning to end. Her heart is for the children!!!!"

It is so rare to find a mom friend that you click with on every level. With the stress of the past year, a toddler, and a difficult pregnancy, I can’t think of a more deserving mother than Jasmine."

"My daughter is gorgeous , generous , has three 12 and under , completed school and classes and received all her class construction licenses that most men don’t have! and RUNS a very successful construction business , runs an Etsy shop , sells on eBay , amazon , Mercari , handles very bad asthma and allergies to 2of her three children . Just bought their home a year ago and has renovated the entire home .Has kept them all at home for school , even though their schools reopened , to try and keep them well and safe from covid . Just a selfless beautiful person and I’m so proud of her !"

My daughter-in-law, Sandy Epling is the mother of 2 active sons Cye 6 years old, Ezran 22 months old and she is expecting her 3rd son in July. Sandy is a great mother, very loving and caring. She is always calm and patient with her boys. She is also a dedicated middle school math teacher. This is been a difficult year for everyone, especially teachers and she has handled it with amazing grace. I nominate my daughter-in-law for your honor of best expecting mom in Fredericksburg.
