The secret to a happier Thanksgiving meal.

Supporting local businesses in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford, VA

No matter how big or small your Thanksgiving meal will be this year, if you don't enjoy cooking it's only a stressor. Thanksgiving should be about getting together with loved ones, enjoying each other's company, relaxing and being thankful.  It's difficult to do any of those things if you're stressed out about cooking.

Maybe you love cooking the turkey but don't have time for making the sides and desserts or maybe you love making sides but the turkey isn't your thing. Perhaps you don't want to cook at all but want to gather at home or maybe you'd rather eat out.

If you're one of those people who have great cooking skills and can make it all happen while visiting and relaxing - awesome - but I'm not!  I learned years ago that everyone here is much happier when we aren't up at 3am to start cooking a turkey, followed by attempting to make 6 sides to cook in 1 oven while also not burning the rolls.

For the past few years we have been purchasing our Thanksgiving meals from local businesses. We are supporting those local businesses and allowing our family to relax and enjoy a wonderful (I'll admit it - much better than if I made it) meal.  Some years we choose a pre-prepared meal that we cook ourselves while other years we purchase the meal hot and ready to eat.

Whatever your situation, we have lots of great restaurants in our area who are open for Thanksgiving this year. Some are open for dine-in, others for carry out.   We have complied a list HERE so you can plan your relaxing Thanksgiving day now.
