Glen Alton in the National Forest (Giles County) was a 300 acre working farm until the 1980s. The property includes an old farmhouse, outbuilds and a caretaker's cottage. Past the cottage is a walking trail with flowers, birdhouses and a trip past the wetlands. The wide open spaces provide ample space to explore and nature watch. There are trails, a river for fishing and campgrounds nearby.
Glen Alton is about a 3.5 hour drive from the Fredericksburg Area.
