One of the great things that has come out of stay-at-home orders is getting to spend more time together as a family. Our family loves to go outside, play cards and board games and do crafts … but since we’ve been in close quarters for so many months now, sometimes it gets hard to come up with new, fresh ideas for fun things to do.
Litehouse stepped up and created an awesome online resource that includes free downloadable recipes and family night activities. They will be updating their website every Thursday in October with great new family activities! In the meantime, I was honored to not only be given a Family Activity Kit for my family, but to also be able to share these kits from Litehouse with two local families! The Ranch Homestyle Dressing (My kids call it “the good ranch” and choose it over the other ranch dressings we have in the fridge every time) as a dip for our veggies, chicken wings, salad, pizza, chicken nuggets, sandwiches and almost anything else you can think of. The Caramel Dip is so yummy on our apples! Our friends suggested we try it over popcorn – also a great idea! |
| We made guacamole on Saturday to eat while watching the football game. It was SO easy to make - just smash up 2 avocadoes, add 1/4 of the jar of Litehouse Guacamole Herb Blend, a squeeze of lime and a dash of salt. I hardly had time to take a picture of my (not so) hard work before the kids found it and the bowl was empty! During halftime we played Ridley's Game Room Sports Edition that Litehouse included in our family fun package. We enjoyed lots of laughs and found out that I need to brush up on my sports knowledge! |  |
