The Ultimate Halloween Movie Night

Your guide to throwing a fun Hallloween movie night that everyone in the family will love!

Just because Halloween is going to look a little different this year, doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! Here is your guide to throwing a fun Hallloween movie night that everyone in the family will love, complete with snacks, the right ambiance, and the best movie picks and where to find them. 

Step 1: Ambiance 

        The first step in having a fun movie night is to set the stage. Whether you want to go all out with lights and spooky decor or stay more laid back with some blankets and pillows with fall candles, the possibilities are endless! The most important aspect of this step is the timing, make sure to wait until after sunset or just before dark to ensure the perfect lighting to get you in the Halloween mood. 



Step 2: Snacks 

        The most important part of any movie experience is the snacks, here’s a few ideas to get your fun night off on the right foot! 

Spooky Popcorn
        Ingredients:
  • 2 Bags of favorite popcorn (microwave, bagged kettle corn, homemade, or whatever your family prefers) 
  • Candy corn 
  • Halloween M&M’s 
  • Candy eyeballs 
               
           Instructions:
  1. Pop your popcorn and place it in a large bowl 
  2. Toss in your candy corn, M&M’s, eyeballs, and any other additional sweet treat 
  3. Mix around and serve the simple movie staple 





Pumpkin Sandwich Cookies  
        Ingredients:
  • 1 package of Pillsbury ghost or pumpkin sugar cookies 
  • 1 tub of vanilla frosting 
  • Halloween sprinkles 
       
        Instructions:
  1. Bake the sugar cookies according to the package directions and let cool completely
  2. Frost the bottom of the cookie and then sandwich with another cookie 
  3. Set out a plate with sprinkles and roll the edge of the cookies in the sprinkles
  4. Repeat until all the cookie pairs have been frosted and decorated and then enjoy 






Halloween Oreo Brownies 
        Ingredients: 
  • 1 box of brownie mix 
  • Halloween Oreos (one sleeve) 
  • Halloween sprinkles
               
             Instructions: 
  1. Make the brownie mix according to the package instructions and spread in pan 
  2. Quarter one sleeve of oreos and place along top of the batter 
  3. Add sprinkles on top of the oreos 
  4. Bake and cool according to package directions and then enjoy the delicious twist on everyone's favorite dessert






Step 3: The Movie
