If you are looking for a new and semi-challenging dish, you’ve come to the right place! This was so much fun to make and it turned out to be so good!

Cordon Bleu

  • 4 chicken breast fillets, skinned
  • Salt and pepper ( to taste)
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of swiss cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉. Using a meat hammer, pound the chicken breasts to about ¼ inch thick, place the breasts between pieces of wax paper or in a heavy plastic bag and use your rolling pin to flatten them.
  2. Lay out the chicken breasts and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Top each with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. Roll the chicken up tightly, and dredge the rolls in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs, coating them well.( I added a little garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs for some more flavor!)  Use toothpicks to hold them together if you wish ( just remember to take them out before eating)
  3. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan, seam side down. Place 1 tablespoon of butter on top of each roll. Bake for about 30-40 minutes
