Our local teachers, staff, and administrators are working extra hard these days to keep our students engaged and learning during remote instruction. If you are anything like us, you have struggled a bit with being thrown into the "homeschool teacher role"! It can be really hard to keep our kids on track while we are taking care of other kiddos, working from home, and/or going about the daily business of life. It sure makes us appreciate what our teachers do everyday with a whole classroom of kids even more!
So, we want to help you show your appreciation. Send your school some love with an MK Shout Out, and you could win a prize for your family!
How does it work?

➡️ Each day during Teacher Appreciation week (April 4-8, 2020) we will post your shout outs on our social media! AND each day we will award 1 lucky family a mystery prize!
➡️ We will send all of the Shout Outs to the principals of the schools that receive them each week, so that they can share them with their teachers and staff.

You can send a Shout Out to any teacher or staff member at any school!
🍎 What should we say?
Tell them why you are grateful for them! Feel free to get creative and get specific! You can thank them for something they did when school was still at school, or you can send a Shout Out for something they've done during remote learning. Was the video they posted this morning for remote learning really fun? Did you enjoy an assignment they gave? Did they help you out with a problem you had? Are they just your all-around favorite teacher? The possibilities are endless! (Just keep it family friendly!)

Rules: This contest will run from Thursday, April 23, 2020 through Friday, May 8, 2020 at 11:59 am. One winner will be selected each day from all eligible entries May 4-8, 2020. Winners will be notified by email and will have 24 hours to claim the prize. If the prize is not claimed within 24 hours, an alternate winner will be chosen. You MUST be a subscriber to Macaroni Kid Fredericksburg, submit a Shout Out to a teacher or staff member at a local school, and 18 or older to enter.
