Q: What is your name and what is the name of your business?
A: Missy Edwards. Burn Boot Camp Fredericksburg (and in a few months Burn Chancellor).
Q: What inspired or encouraged you to start your business?
A: I have always had an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for making a difference in peoples' lives. In 2017, I became a member of a Richmond area gym called Burn Boot Camp, and the day I joined I knew, that without a doubt, Burn Boot Camp was the perfect platform for me to make a huge impact on a community. One year later, Burn Boot Camp Fredericksburg opened, and it has impacted the lives of so many! We are currently working on the next location so that we can make even more of a difference in this area!
Q: What do you love about your work?
A: I get to witness the men and women in this community become more mentally, emotionally, and physically stronger every day. This opens them up to doing and accomplishing things they never thought possible, which translates into every other aspect of their lives. And I get to see it all happen, every single day! It's truly amazing!
Q: What advice do you have for others wanting to start a business?
A: If you are passionate enough, and want it enough, you can do anything!
Q: What do you do to take care of yourself and how do you make time to do it?
A: The BEST escape I have every day is the 45 min camp I take at Burn Boot Camp every single day. I make time to do it by making it part of my day, regardless of what else is going on. It's built into my schedule as a non-negotiable. I know in my heart that no matter how busy you THINK you are, you can't take care of anyone else in your family to the best of your ability if you aren't healthy and happy first! So I live by that Mantra, and I take care of myself by going to camp and doing something for me!

Q: What is your favorite spot to go around town?
A: My family and I just recently moved to this area, so we have a lot to learn about what there is around town! But, so far my husband and I love to take our kids and bikes on the Quarry trails!
