Christian is the proud Owner/Operator of Tun Tavern Photography.  We sat down with him to find out a little more about him and his love of photography.  Here’s what he had to say:

Q: How long have you been a photographer?

A: Professionally I have been a photographer since 2012. But I have been doing photography on and off since the early 2000’s.

Q: When did you know you wanted to be a photographer?

A: Since my HS years, where I had a minor in Photography, I had an amazing passion for the world of photography. Since the days of being in a dark room, doing photography “old school”, I enjoyed capturing the moments in life and having memories.

Q: Why did you become a  photographer?

A: And mentioned, I had an amazing passion for the world of photography. To me, Photography is not just a hobby which I have turned into a business but photography also gives me the ability to assist others in capturing their most memorable moments in life. I have always been a people pleaser. I am to please all of my clients; making their experience not only memorable but exciting.

Q: Your favorite place local place to take pictures?

A: Personally, I enjoy taking random pictures of just about anything. During my time living in NYC, I had enjoyed taking the train to Time Square or Central Park and capture something that would last a life time.

Q: What type of photography is your favorite?

A: Prior to re-branding my photography business, my primary focus was Modeling/Pin-Up Photoshoots, as that what was the based on my inquiries. Since moving down to the Fredericksburg, VA area and re-branding, I have shifted focus to Weddings; Couple Sessions; Individual or Family Sessions; Private Events and Corporate Clients. Because each sessions are often unique, I remain flexible on the needs of my clients. If I may add, being a Marine Corps Veteran my self, it gives me great pride to be in a region that strongly supports our Active Duty and Veteran Community. At the same time, gives me great pride to be able to serve a community of my own.

Q: What one piece of advice would you give a client when taking their picture?

A: My best advice would be, to be as calm as possible; ask questions. I am always happy to make the experience as exciting and pleasant as possible.

Q: What would you be if you weren’t a photographer?

A: I have a background in Federal Investigations, so possibly in the Law Enforcement field. But unless I was incapable of holding a camera, I don’t see my self ever stopping doing photography.

Q: What is the most exciting thing about your work?

A: making my client’s happy and capturing memorable moments In life.

We at Tun Tavern Photography, are excited to have you here and hope our services are just what you are looking for.

Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. My relationship with photography has always been a strong one. Since my early teens to my early 20’s, I truly came to understand the importance of making long lasting memories. You can never have too many memories. And for that reason, I believe it is important to capture the images, in order to help capture them for a lifetime.

Photography tells a story, and when I look through the viewfinder, I see an unlimited number of stories. The result is nothing short of breathtaking. We strive to make our client’s experience unforgettable by helping capture those memorable moments in life through the liveliness in images and the captivating adventures they bring.

I promise you won’t be disappointed.
