The Cool Bean - Storytime and Activity

By Jenny Sites November 21, 2019

Join us tonight for storytime at the Spotsylvania Towne Centre near the food court!

We will be reading the brand new book "The Cool Bean" followed by an activity.
This event is FREE, but we ask that you bring a DONATION for the Panda Pantry. (see details below)

** We will be making Random Act of Kindness (RAK) postcards for kids to take and hand out or leave with Mac Kid for us to distribute locally!

*** We will be giving out Cool Bean "glasses" and sticker sheets (while supplies last)

PLUS any kids being caught being Super kind will get to take home a brand new - just released in the US - SuperThing!

The Cool Bean is the third book in the series from Jory John and Pete Oswald, each book teaches young readers an important lesson to live by:
THE BAD SEED- reminds us that positive change is possible for all of us.
THE GOOD EGG- reminds us of the importance of balance, self-care, and accepting those who we love (even if they are sometimes a bit rotten).

*This book is geared toward kids ages 4-8 but all kids are welcome!

The Cool Bean is the perfect read aloud to kickoff conversations with kids about important topics for building social emotional learning such as:
to be kind to others
what empathy is and why it’s important
what it really means to be “cool”

The Panda Pantry provides meals to children over the weekend who would otherwise go hungry.

Items needed (must be individually wrapped, single serving sizes):

*Parents must stay with children during the entire event*

Donations are not required to attend.
