10 Reasons to Get Involved in the FFH Youth Soccer League!

Sponsored by the Fredericksburg Field House

Fall is in the air, and despite the lingering temps of summer, the kiddos are finally settling back into their routines. If you haven’t considered getting your child involved in sports this season, you’ll want to check out the Fredericksburg Field House’s youth soccer league

We’ve rounded up ten excellent reasons to get involved:

10. Playing organized sport boosts self-esteem and confidence in children.

9. Leagues like this help develop teamwork and leadership skills, teach responsibility, and instill the value of work ethic.

8. Even our kids deal with stressors, and sports are a way for them to step outside of that box and relieve stress and anxiety.

7. Sports help to develop lifelong healthy habits, both mentally and physically, by improving cognitive functions and coordination.

6. Leagues like this promote family bonding. Children feel supported and rallied around. It gives the family something to look forward to weekly.

5. Being active drives social connections; sports teach friendly competition, and they are a unique way to get your children communicating with other kids outside of just the classroom or neighborhood. This helps to promote diversity and cultural awareness.

4. Our league is all games – that’s right, ALL games, no practices!

3. Games are played on weekends, so no running around after school and work. Keep that time reserved for homework and family dinners!

2. We offer both competitive and recreational leagues for ages 6 – high school, so there’s something for everyone! (PS – looking for something for your little ones? Check out our Lil’ Kickers youth development program, which offers sessions for minis starting at just 18 mos old!)

1. Did we mention how much FUN the kids have? Whether they’re beginners or seasoned athletes, it’s obvious just by dropping in what great memories they’re making. And what better place to do so than right in the heart of the awesome community of Fredericksburg?!

The Fredericksburg Field House’s indoor youth soccer league runs from October 26 – December 22, and registration is now open.
