Hi from Jenny!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a busy week, including an unexpected hospital stay for a sick kiddo. She's doing great now, but boy am I thankful for our village! We had grandparents keeping kids and visiting to keep spirits up, friends helping us navigate pre-planned events and checking in to make sure we didn't need anything. It certainly does take a village and we're super grateful for ours!

Speaking of villages - A Friendly reminder: If you're lighting off fireworks today or through the weekend, please be safe and respectful. Remember that pets and vets are sensitive to firework noises - it's always nice to give your neighbors a heads up if you're shooting fireworks off in the neighborhood. Never put used fireworks in a trashcan near a home, car or building. The safest way to dispose of your used fireworks is to put them in a bucket of water near the street. You can find VA Firework information and laws here.
