What an incredible afternoon! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Bash and helped make it such a memorable community event. From the moment the gates opened, families filled the event with smiles, laughter, and plenty of summer fun.
Throughout the day, we gave away 100 Summer Fun Goodie Bags, shared more than 150 books through our Traveling Little Lending Library, played yard games, awarded more than 400 prizes, and watched hundreds of creative masterpieces come to life at our craft stations. Kids had a blast making ribbon twirlers, beaded bracelets, superheroes, and many other fun creations. Families also enjoyed a special princess visit from Inspire Christian Theater, creating magical memories and plenty of photo opportunities.
A huge thank you goes to Eve from Pixie Face Art, who spent three straight hours creating stunning face and arm paintings for an endless line of excited children. Her incredible talent and cheerful spirit kept smiles on faces all afternoon! We'd also like to thank The Dreamsicle for stopping by with delicious ice cream and shaved ice to help families cool off on a warm summer day.
Events like this wouldn't be possible without the support of our amazing community. A heartfelt thank you to Ventresca Family Insurance for hosting us and providing the perfect location for families to gather, play, and celebrate summer together. We're also incredibly grateful to our wonderful volunteers, who spent the afternoon helping with crafts, games, prize tables, setup, and cleanup. Your enthusiasm and willingness to serve made the event run smoothly from beginning to end.
Most of all, thank you to every family who came out to celebrate with us. Watching children laugh, create, play, read, and make new memories with their families is exactly why we love bringing free community events to Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and Stafford.
