Give Back this Christmas Season!

By Stephanie Stewart November 30, 2016
Who remembers the old saying " 'Tis better to give than to receive"? It is a great time of year sit back and look at all of the goodness and blessings around us with an attitude of a grateful heart. We are so fortunate to live in a country that we can have so much to be thankful for! What better way to turn that into a positive spin with your children and show them what it is like to give back to our community in an impactful way. Each week, we will be highlighting a different way to celebrate this season by giving to those less fortunate.

This week we are sharing some information for a local organization that is making it possible for children in the foster care system to enjoy their Christmas holiday by relieving some of the financial burdens with gift giving.

Every year, Embrace Treatment Foster Care is responsible for providing 75 foster children in the Commonwealth of Virginia with the toys that they will find under their tree on Christmas morning. We need our communities help to achieve this goal.

This is a unique way for people to give back to their community during the holiday season, they know that the child they donate towards lives in their community and that without their help, these children will have no presents under the tree. Donate on their GoFundMe Page
