There is, literally, no place in the United States as rich in history as Fredericksburg, VA and the areas around it. Colonial Williamsburg is a day trip. This is where George Washington grew up. The Civil War battlefields abound.
Everything you want is here. Every store I can think of is just down the street. Potomac Mills is the largest outlet mall in the country. You don't have to go far to be in the country. Or boating on the Potomac. We're just 35 miles south of Washington, DC and all of it's culture, museums, theaters and activity.
The best part about living in Fredericksburg is easily the people. What a wonderful group. This isn't the kind of place where neighbors live side by side, never learning each others' names. People reach out to one another.
I love this place. It will always be home.
